What fuel consumption can Xuanyi 1000 km long test drive achieve?

Last month? Nissan Sylphy once again won the first trophy in China market. It's not unusual to win a trophy once in a while, but it's interesting to win the championship for a few months in a year.

▲ Everyone is familiar with the shape. This angle is really small.

The14th generation Sylphy and the classic Sylphy now on sale (13rd generation) defined their own characteristics a long time ago-sofa seats+lower fuel consumption+ease of use, which satisfied people's imagination and demand for joint-venture family cars. Therefore, when the best-selling 13 replaces 12 generation as a brand-new classic version, people can have better elegance at different price points, so it is not difficult to imagine why these two cars can continue to win the sales champion.

▲ Scorpio ... Oh, no, Sylphy's body shape is not too long or too wide in the same level, but the proportion is coordinated and the temperament is outstanding. This is a place where many family cars of the same price are not in place.

▲ Compared with the classic version, the biggest highlight of 14 generation Sylphy is the very advanced interior, especially the sofa seats, which will not make the body feel sore for 100 kilometers.

Among them, low fuel consumption is one of the highlights of Sylphy, which is not achieved by a hybrid power system with complex structure and high cost, but by continuously improving the existing powertrain, extremely low fuel consumption in the same class is realized.

▲ Here is the ECO mode, and the Sport mode is in the gear position, so the three power modes of Sylphy should be adjusted in different places.

Interestingly, Sylphy owners brag about how low their fuel consumption is in WeChat group every day, but outsiders-or consumers who have never used Sylphy-have no concept of Sylphy's fuel consumption, which is different from Toyota Hybrid and Honda Turbo. Hybrid can actually be experienced, the turbine can step on the gas pedal, but Sylphy's 1.6L+CVT? It seems that it can only leave a good impression.

To this end, Dongfeng Nissan often organizes fuel-saving competitions. For example, this time I started from Mashan, Guangxi, and drove all the way to Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, to see how the fuel consumption performance of this nearly 1,000-kilometer journey was. Similar to the previous fuel-saving races, the participating cars are all Sylphy 1.6L+CVT with high configuration, four adults and several suitcases. Because the fuel consumption shown in the table can't be used as the most accurate reference, Dongfeng Nissan will first fill up the fuel tank of each Sylphy, then put a seal on the fuel tank and run all the way to the finish line, then look at the fuel consumption of each car and calculate the final fuel consumption in combination with the subtotal mileage.

▲ On the first day, people have to queue up to refuel until they jump out of the gun hole, and then seal the fuel tank cover.

▲ The most important thing is to clear.

▲ Feel the load, what is the final fuel consumption of four adult men+Sylphy?

The route from Mashan to Baise (the destination of the first day) is high-speed, and everyone sighs-it may be necessary to do mobile roadblocks again. So ... huh? It seems not.

PS: It is generally recognized that the economic driving speed is about 60km/h, but this speed is the minimum speed limit standard on the expressway. There is no doubt that there is nothing wrong with moving roadblocks.

However, it didn't take long to open Sylphy. After practice, we found a problem-indeed, the fuel consumption of 60km/h is very low, but the expressway has ups and downs, which is not the most economical driving mode. After groping, we found that it is possible to achieve similar fuel consumption at 60km/h on Heping Road by accelerating downhill and keeping the speed at 70~90km/h on uphill!

After mastering the skills, the whole road section runs smoothly at high speed, and our speed is similar to that of the trucks before and after. As for fuel consumption, I don't believe it-the fuel consumption meter is less than 3.5 liters per 100 kilometers, and even in some specific sections, the fuel consumption is directly increased to 3.0 liters per 100 kilometers.

▲ Reporting fuel consumption figures may be boring. Look at this tachometer. The symbol 1 is directly erased, thus blurring the scale of 1500 rpm. So although the rotation speed reached 2500 rpm when starting, you feel that the rotation speed is not very high, just because of the visual effect.

From mashan county to Baise, it is more than 200 kilometers, and the altitude is similar. Along the way, Sylphy's powertrain was smooth and quiet, and most engines were hovering around 1200 rpm. I am very surprised to be able to maintain low fuel consumption output at high speed.

▲ I also experienced a traffic jam on the way.

The next day's trip was from Baise to Puzhehei, and the road conditions were not as good as those on the first day. We had to climb from a height of several hundred meters to nearly 2000 meters. Although most of them are high-speed, the deliberate fuel-saving driving mode doesn't work at this time, so our car adjusted its driving strategy and passed quickly on a larger slope, because the fuel consumption at a speed of 60 km/h was actually greater than 80 km/h. At the cost, at the end of the next day, our watch showed that the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers was 3.6 liters.

▲ Sylphy has been tested before, so I am not surprised by the power and handling performance of 14 generation Sylphy. High speed has brought a little new experience. For example, don't feel uncomfortable even if you pull the speed to 3000 rpm, because the fuel consumption will not be very high.

On the last day, it takes a long national road from Puzhehei to Maitreya service area (the gas station at the end). Although it is basically downhill, the complicated road conditions have not reduced the fuel consumption much. On the contrary, the speed is often not enough when facing uphill. However, because the mileage in the first two days has been quite large, the fuel consumption on the third day has not increased significantly. Drive all the way. Apparent fuel consumption fluctuates between 3.7 liters and 3.8 liters-of course this is apparent fuel consumption. Only by filling up the fuel tank and calculating the fuel consumption can we know the actual fuel consumption.

When we reached the finish line, the apparent fuel consumption was fixed at 3.8 liters. Here, it's a bit like our Hundred Miles Challenge column. Fill the tank directly until the gun jumps. The final fuel consumption is 30.67 liters, and the mileage displayed on the dashboard is 803 kilometers. Therefore, the actual fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is 3.8 1 liter/100 kilometers.

▲ The apparent fuel consumption is almost the same as the actual fuel consumption, which also reflects Nissan's high and low energy consumption requirements for this car.

Actually ... so our car is not the most fuel efficient, and as a result, we can't even squeeze into the top three-after all, the actual fuel consumption of a Sylphy is 3.6 liters per 100 kilometers.

As can be seen from the best-selling of Sylphy, China automobile consumers gradually pay attention to practicality and experience in the choice of joint venture vehicles, and I have also refreshed my impression of this car. Although I knew that its fuel consumption was very low, I still didn't dare to expect to drive 100 kilometers and 3 liters of oil before the test drive-this is a dream that can only be realized by driving a hybrid car of the same level. But at the same time, in addition to low fuel consumption, Sylphy's sofa seat+larger seating space+comfortable suspension+leapfrog interior all make us have no complaints in this 1000-kilometer relationship.

So the conclusion is: if you have the opportunity to test drive Sylphy in the store, remember to make clear the fuel consumption first, and there will be surprises.
