Yichang expressway starts from Yiyang Zijiang Second Bridge (pile number K76+000) and ends at Deshan Tanshuping, Changde City (pile number K 149+083), with a total length of about 73km, a fully enclosed and full interchange, a two-way four-lane cement concrete pavement with a pavement width of 25m and a subgrade width of 27m, and a design speed of 100km. 1999 12 was completed and opened to traffic.

The overhaul project of Yichang expressway is planned to be rebuilt on the basis of keeping the original 27-meter subgrade width unchanged, continuing to maintain the original two-way four-lane expressway standard, and adopting the method of "changing white to black" to overlay and rebuild the original pavement. The scope of renovation includes: the whole pavement, protection and drainage works, bridges, interchanges, safety facilities, communication systems, toll collection systems, monitoring systems, etc.
The overhaul project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase of the project is the interchange between Xingfu Canal and Junshanpu, and the interchange between Prince Temple and Deshan. The length of the line is 47. 19 1 km, and it is planned to be completed within six months from June to June this year. The second phase of the project is the interchange from Junshanpu to Taizimiao, with a line length of 25.034 kilometers. The second phase of the project will be started as soon as possible according to the progress of the first phase, and will be completed on 20 14.
