Peking University Architectural Research Center has 6 teachers, including 4 full-time teachers. It holds a master's degree in architecture and enrolls about six graduate students every year for three years. There are about 20 students at present.
The center adopts the dual-track policy of professor research room/studio, emphasizes the organic combination of theory and practice, and cooperates with the architect qualification examination system that has been started in China to cultivate professional architects who can practice independently and outstanding talents who specialize in architectural research and teaching.
The center has hired many architects with rich practical experience as visiting professors, and established 18 specialized research institutes. These tutors come from architectural design, media criticism, academic research, light environment and other fields. We hope to provide students with diversified perspectives and the right to choose freely.
