Weinan Station is an old station with a long history established with the construction of Longhai Line. It was founded in 1932 (the 21st year of the Republic of China) and completed in 1933 (the 22nd year of the Republic of China). The original site is located at the northern end of Jiefang Road in Weinan. The plaque of the station name was inscribed by Gu, then Minister of Railways of the Republic of China, with the number 1934. It is carved out of white marble and embedded in the box office wall at the upper end of the canopy.
Station upgrading and reconstruction
On June 23, 2020, 165438+ Weinan Station officially entered the transformation and upgrading. The original platform was upgraded to a high platform, and the platform surface of the second platform was replaced, providing conditions for the operation of high-grade trains in the future. The area of the original station building was doubled, and an independent security inspection area was built.
