The main responsibilities of the Traffic Management Bureau are as follows:
1, implement the national, provincial and municipal guidelines, policies, laws and regulations on transportation; Organize the formulation of the city's transportation development strategy, planning and normative documents and supervise the implementation, and guide the relevant system reform of the city's transportation industry;
2, responsible for the management of transportation industry, undertake the coordination services of railways, postal services, etc. , and undertake the coordination work involving the city's comprehensive transportation system planning; Responsible for statistics, information guidance and urban traffic readiness related work in the transportation industry;
3, formulate the city's highway, waterway, urban public transport industry planning, measures and supervise the implementation; Participate in the formulation of logistics development planning and related measures, implement relevant policies and standards and supervise their implementation;
4, responsible for the city's road and waterway transportation market supervision; Responsible for the city's road and waterway passenger transport (including tourist passenger transport, taxi passenger transport, urban passenger transport), cargo transport, vehicle and vessel maintenance, motor vehicle driver school and driver training, car rental, road and waterway transport services and other industry management; Responsible for the planning and management of urban and rural passenger stations and other facilities in the city;
5, responsible for the city's highway and waterway construction market supervision; Formulate relevant management measures and systems for the construction and maintenance of highway and waterway engineering and supervise their implementation; Responsible for the traffic construction market and project quality, cost management, production safety supervision and management.

People's governments at all levels shall ensure that road traffic safety management is compatible with economic construction and social development.
Local people's governments at or above the county level shall adapt to the needs of road traffic development, formulate road traffic safety management plans according to road traffic safety laws, regulations and relevant state policies, and organize their implementation.
