Jiangyin, referred to as Jiyang for short, is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province. Hosted by Wuxi City, it is located in the north of Wuxi City, between 3140' 34 "north latitude, 3157' 36" east longitude and 0/9 59' east longitude.

Jiangyin city is located in the northern part of Taihu Lake water network plain and Jiangnan alluvial plain. The terrain is gentle, with an average elevation of about 6 meters.
