Divide the things to be prepared into three categories. For example, you can burn some paper money. Usually white paper or light yellow paper is cut into the shape of copper coins and incinerated to death, as long as it is money. There are also incense for the deceased, expressing respect, gratitude and nostalgia for the deceased. At the same time, I feel that life is actually the true meaning of dedication. In addition, prepare some sacrifices to cremate the dead. These offerings to the gods and the dead are to let them enjoy the offerings, to bless the whole family, to eliminate disasters and pray for blessings, which means people's sincerity and filial piety. Offer sacrifices such as wine, cattle, sheep and plants to gods, ancestors and the dead, hoping that they will be blessed and enjoy the details.
According to tradition, the memorial ceremony after death is very particular. When you die, it is called the seventh day (also called the seventh day), that is, from the day you die, there will be a memorial service every seven days, and the seventh day, the second day, the seventh day, the fourth day, the fifth day, the sixth day and the seventh day will be closed. After that, there will be a hundred days, anniversaries, three years, ten years ... gradually stretching the distance, no matter how big the sadness, it will gradually fade away.
Among them, May 7th is a very important day. It is said that the dead will go home on this day, see their families at last, and then be reborn or live in the underworld. Our country has always had the custom of burning May 7th and July 7th. It is said that after death, the soul will care about family and children and will not leave. It takes 5735 days, and some places will not leave for heaven until 7749. Therefore, May 7th became an important part of funeral culture in China, which attracted more attention. This custom has a long history. Zhang Xuan, a Ming Dynasty man, pointed out in "Suspected Yao July 7": "Every seven days, the common people die and need to sacrifice."
