-Be clear about your own abilities, and only provide services or use relevant technologies for consultants within your own abilities. Career planners are not omnipotent. They need to know clearly that they should provide career development counseling services, not psychological counseling or psychotherapy.
2. Confidentiality
-Keep confidential the files and consulting information of consultants, and balance the relationship between consultants and the needs of their own institutions.
Step 3 be correct
-When providing consultation, you should arrive at the consultation place earlier than the agreed time.
Step 4 avoid
-Career planners should avoid when the confidentiality principle of consultation may be affected.
Step 5 be careful
-Be familiar with information and never make low-level mistakes.
-Know the details
-analyze the cause and effect of things
-serious and responsible, with a strong sense of responsibility.
-Suggestions should be well-founded and practical.
Step 6 help each other
-Career planners should maintain good working relations with supervisors, employers/superiors and colleagues, and reach an understanding with them on the following issues: referral, consultation and interview, confidentiality, preservation and utilization of consultation files, workload, responsibilities to be undertaken, etc.
-teamwork should gradually form its own think tank.
-If you suspect that the work is beyond your ability or the business scope of the career planner, the career planner should seek help from the supervisor immediately.
7. Consistency
—— The services and information output provided by professional planners, including consulting services, classroom guidance, public classes/demonstrations, articles and media interviews, must meet the requirements of this code of professional ethics —— and need to be arranged by the employer.
8. Continuing education
-through continuing education and practice, constantly improve their own ability and service quality.
Career planners must conscientiously implement the above eight professional norms in each case and provide professional and caring services for each consultant.
