First, let's look at the common modes of transportation.
1. Bus, tram and subway
Buses are mostly located near the railway station so that passengers can transfer to nearby towns and villages. Buses and trams are used in towns and villages, while Amsterdam and Rotterdam have subways.
2. Driving frequency
Public transport in the Netherlands does not provide 24-hour service (except trains connecting with metropolises). The departure time of metropolis is from 6 am to afternoon 1 1 or afternoon 12. In smaller places, public transport may be closed at 10 in the afternoon.
3. National coupons
The Netherlands is divided into several regions according to the public transport system. This Strippen ticket can be applied to buses, trams or subways in all regions, and Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Lewyt Mill are also within this range. You can also take the second-class train. The price of the first joint ticket is 8.85 Dutch francs (1989), and the price of 45 joint tickets is 25.85 Dutch francs (1989). You can also buy this kind of joint ticket from the bus driver, but the price is higher. The number of joint tickets needed in a trip depends on the area that passengers need to cross.
4. Highway
You should drive on the right. Drivers should give way to cars coming from the right except at major intersections. All roads are free. Unless otherwise specified, the speed limit of expressway is120km/h. The maximum speed limit in suburbs is 80km/h, and it is 50km/h when entering the urban area.
5. ferry service
There are many vehicle ferry services on the secondary roads in the Netherlands, which are used to cross rivers and canals. The ferry journey from De Hel-der to Wadden Island in Texel takes about one hour. The round-trip fare of each train is 42 yuan (excluding passengers). Ferries from Vlissingen to Breskens and from Kru-iningen to Perkpolder in Zeeland run every half hour, and the round-trip fare for each train is 7.5 yuan.
6. Taxi
Taxis can be identified by the "Taxi" sign on the roof.
Usually, you can book a taxi by phone in Holland, but you can also get it at the dispatching office in hotels, stations and other places. The charge in the taxi meter includes the service charge. The journey of 5 kilometers in the urban area costs about 65,438+05 Dutch francs. The cost of travel from Schiphol Airport to the center of Amsterdam is about 45 Dutch francs.
7. Toll bridges and tunnels
In the Netherlands, only a few bridges and tunnels need to be charged. For example, the private car of Zhilan Bridge is 4 yuan HK$ per car, and the private car of Kiel Tunnel and Prince William Alexander Bridge is 2.7 yuan HK$ per car (the above rate is 1989).
8. Car rental company
In all metropolises and Schiphol Airport, you can find several car rental companies, such as Avis, Bu-dget and Hertz. Lease by appointment is cheaper than on-site lease. According to different models, the price can range from 35 to 150 guilders per day, and the mileage is calculated separately, and a deposit is required. The lease regulations of each company are as follows.
Although an international driver's license can solve some language problems, it is not necessary. Renters must hold a driver's license issued by the Netherlands. For details, please contact travel agencies all over the country.
Then let's see how to have our own driver's license.
