What documents do I need to go through the hospitalization procedures for giving birth to a child?

1, documents and materials to be submitted for admission (physical examination) to the hospital:

(1) The valid ID card, social security card and maternal and child health records of the party (pregnant woman);

(2) Under the premise of enjoying maternity allowance or maternity allowance, the parties concerned should also submit marriage certificate, household registration book (verifying the nature of household registration), birth registration certificate (original "birth permit") and valid identity card of the man (required when handling the "birth medical certificate");

2. It should be noted that the birth itself does not need to submit documents, and the parties can choose the place and corresponding institution of birth independently according to their own wishes;

3. However, according to Article 7 of China's Regulations on Household Registration, newborns should declare their household registration within 1 month after birth;

4. When applying for newborn household registration, you need to submit: the applicant's valid ID card, medical certificate of newborn birth, parents' marriage certificate, household registration book, resident ID card, etc.

5. The head of the household or guardian shall report the birth registration to the police station in the jurisdiction where the baby's father or mother has permanent residence;

6. It is suggested that the parties should carry their valid identity documents and residence permits with them according to their actual conditions, and consult the staff of the delivery agency in advance, subject to the reply from the other party.

The Regulations on Household Registration in People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that:

Article 6 A citizen should be registered as a permanent resident in his habitual residence, and a citizen can only be registered as a permanent resident in one place.

Article 7 Within one month after a baby is born, the head of the household, relatives, dependents or neighbors shall report the birth registration to the baby's permanent residence registration authority.

If an abandoned baby is abandoned, the adopter or the infant-rearing institution shall declare the birth registration to the household registration authority.
