How to prepare IELTS vocabulary wisely
The IELTS test is divided into four test blocks: listening, reading, writing and speaking, so we can systematically review these four parts. First, intensive listening and extensive listening are two common practice methods. For most candidates, it is easier to practice extensive reading, but generally speaking, reading the article for more than three times will make you feel tired, and your listening will only stay on the surface of about 6 points, so you can't make great progress. The most basic requirement is to practice listening 1 hour every day, do a set of real questions for 30 minutes, and listen and understand the original text carefully for 30 minutes. It is suggested to practice listening as much as possible in the morning, because the listening test is the first IELTS test. Starting from 9: 00 in the morning, try to synchronize with the test time, which will help you adjust the state of doing listening questions. Second, reading: reading is the strength of many candidates, and it is also a high score. But you must be familiar with these problems. In IELTS reading, each question has its own methods, steps and precautions. If you are unfamiliar with the topic, it is easy to finish the topic in time or fall into the trap of the topic. Reasonably allocate the time to do the questions. Different topics must have different difficulties, so the time spent is different. You can read the topic as a whole first, and roughly judge which articles are more difficult and which are simpler. For simple articles, we must do well to ensure the correct rate of doing the questions. Even if the article is difficult, don't do it for more than 25 minutes. You can use the reading machine at hand to read the exercise materials, and half an hour a day is enough. Don't exaggerate Give your energy to other friends. Even if you get high marks in listening and writing, you can't read. Third, writing: this part is the most difficult. The level of CET-4 and CET-6 is equivalent to primary school students. When you take the IELTS test, you can only get 5 points at most. Whether an article is good or not, the structure of the article is always the most important criterion to determine whether a writing meets the requirements. The cohesion between paragraphs must be very clear, not always three-step, beginning, passing and ending. You can use conjunctions more often, such as: firstofall, morever, secondly, last, etc. In addition, you can divide more natural paragraphs to give the examiner a clear feeling. Usually, you can read more foreign articles and see their writing patterns, so that IELTS writing can be closer to the examiner's standards. But you'd better write an article that you think is good against the model essay, and provide it to foreign teachers or use various resources to revise it. If you sign up for the IELTS class in New Oriental, a teacher will revise it for you. You can rest assured. Oral English: This is the second biggest problem after writing. Most candidates can't open their mouths during the exam because of a series of reasons such as nervousness. Maybe you are familiar with all kinds of simple sentences, and basically reach the standard of 5-6, so your score is not high. In fact, many candidates who know a lot of uncommon words are very sad about this hurdle. The improvement of spoken English will never happen overnight. Spend some time out to practice every day. You can find a small partner to practice and use her as an examiner to simulate the exam state, because even if you answer questions in Chinese, the face-to-face exam is extremely tense. Your hands are shaking, and so is your voice. After the exam, you will find how bad your original improvisation was. Candidates who are not qualified to practice with each other can record what they say with a tape recorder and then find their own mistakes to correct. Repeat this practice to minimize your own mistakes. Be careful not to recite a lot of model essays, because the examiner can see that you have recited them, so even if you speak well, you will get 4-5 points. It's best not to write a draft, but to write some keywords on each card at most, and practice oral English by yourself every day according to these keywords. You can prepare more creative and interesting content, and the more different, the better. Pay attention to the details. If you pause or think during the exam, don't add China modal particles such as "hmm", "ah" and "that (inner)" in the middle of your speech. English modal particles such as "well" should be used. When talking with foreigners, remember: 1, don't look at the examiner's eyes, that is, eye-coutact 2, don't be rigid, and use "face" to express "emotion" according to your own situation and atmosphere in the dialogue. Use some body language appropriately.
