Suzhou Academy, formerly known as Suxian Normal School in northern Anhui, was founded in 1949. 1983 was upgraded to Suzhou Normal University, and was renamed Suzhou College in 2004. Since its establishment more than 70 years ago, the school has seized the opportunity of higher education development and won the first batch of demonstration and application-oriented undergraduate colleges in Anhui Province in 2009.
