Introduction:
Qingdao Shell Museum is a private shell museum with the theme of shells and integrating shell research, collection, popular science education and cultural tourism. Covering an area of about 2,600 square meters, it has the largest beach runway in China.
The museum mainly consists of six parts: shell specimen exhibition area, shell viewing area, children's interactive area, popular science area, shellfish commodity exhibition area and shellfish biological science research institute. There are more than 4,260 kinds of shell (conch) specimens and 130 kinds of shellfish fossils from more than 60 countries in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic Ocean and five continents. The number of collections and hardware facilities are at the leading level in China. There are not only giant tortoises with a diameter of one meter, but also small shells that need to be seen with a magnifying glass, as well as Ordovician nautilus fossils 450 million years ago.
