Do Suzhou graduates need a residence permit to settle down?

Legal analysis: the registered permanent residence is in my hometown, and moving to Suzhou requires an immigration permit. If it is a school collective household, it is not necessary. If the registered permanent residence moves to Suzhou in his hometown, he/she shall go to the district public security bureau or administrative service center where the registered permanent residence moves with graduation certificate, employment registration certificate stamped with the special seal for employment deployment of college graduates, household registration book and other materials.

Legal basis: Article 5 of the Measures for the Administration of Household Registration Access in Suzhou City, a person who meets one of the following conditions may apply for household registration and apply to the human resources and social security department:

(a) overseas students who have obtained a bachelor's degree or above abroad;

(2) personnel with senior professional and technical post qualifications, first-class professional skills or master's degree or above;

(3) Professional, technical and managerial personnel with intermediate professional and technical post qualifications, secondary vocational skill level or bachelor's degree, male under 40 years of age and female under 35 years of age (the age of urgent need can be relaxed to 45 years of age for men and 40 years of age for women);

(4) Persons with tertiary vocational skills or college degree or above, under 30 years of age (the age of shortage and urgent need of majors can be relaxed to 35 years of age), legally employed in urban units, working continuously for more than 2 years, participating in social insurance at the same time, and having a legally stable residence;

(5) Graduate students, undergraduates and junior college students accepted according to the graduate employment policy;

(6) Graduates from technical secondary schools and technical schools who receive Suzhou students according to the graduate employment policy;

(7) On-the-job cadres who need to take care of their parents and spouses due to family difficulties, as well as spouses and underage or unemployed unmarried children who meet the conditions of moving with them;

(eight) other personnel who need to be handled by the human resources and social security departments.

The personnel in Items (1) to (3) of the preceding paragraph shall sign labor contracts with urban units according to law and pay social insurance at the same time. Persons in items (1) to (4) are allowed to move with their spouses and underage unmarried children, but the household registration is not limited.
