Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College was founded in 195 1 year, held undergraduate education from 1958 to 1963, held the first batch of higher vocational education in China in 1994, and became a full-time ordinary college with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 1999. Kaifeng University is the only public rail transit vocational college in Henan Province and the first independent vocational college in the national railway system. It is a full-time comprehensive ordinary college approved by Henan Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Kaifeng Municipal People's Government.
