Vivid first class
On August 2 1 day, Mr. Hu Yong first gave you an introduction to international trade, so that you could have a preliminary understanding of international trade. First of all, he guided everyone to think about the relevant courses involved in international trade and made clear the direction of future study.
The main body of international trade is divided into four parts, the structure is as follows:
A. Electronic statistics of international trade
B international finance f accounting
Basic knowledge of international trade, negotiation skills, e-commerce
Freight (insurance) H market
B law
C politics and various laws and regulations
D programming language
In the above structure, international trade refers to the exchange of goods and services among countries in the world, which is the performance of division of labor among countries and reflects the economic interdependence among countries in the world. This shows that international trade is the trade of goods and services. Trade in goods is a tangible transaction, and students can easily accept this concept, but trade in services is intangible. Therefore, Mr. Hu Yong arranged it as a thinking problem, with the purpose of cultivating us to explore knowledge, be diligent and ask questions.
The service industry listed by the World Trade Organization includes the following 12 sectors: commerce, communication, construction, sales, education, environment, finance, health, tourism, entertainment, transportation and others.
After learning about international trade, Mr. Hu Yong explained the characteristics, international trade units, organizational structure and functions of international trade. I take Shanghai Waigaoqiao Modern Service Trading Co., Ltd. as an example to illustrate the above points.
The business scope of the company includes exhibition, trading, logistics, processing, market management, investment investigation, technical and information consultation, investment consultation and other supporting service trade in the bonded area; And engaged in the import and export of goods and technology; Subsidiary branches, etc. This also reflects two characteristics of international trade:
International trade is much more difficult than domestic trade.
Different languages and countries have different requirements for goods.
Different trade rules and regulations. It is difficult to investigate foreign markets.
Credit information is more difficult. Different countries have different customs and use different currencies.
Cargo transportation and insurance procedures are complex, involving international trade practices and rules.
The risk of international trade is greater than that of domestic trade.
Credit risk, business risk and exchange rate risk
Transportation risk, price risk and political risk.
Then, traders engaged in international trade activities should have far-sighted vision and good business reputation; Proficient in foreign languages; Rich professional theory and knowledge; Well-informed business intelligence; Strong funds, complete institutions and so on. In terms of trade strategy and tactics, we can adopt the "trilateral" strategy: first, the "marginal policy" strategy-learn to play the "edge ball" and take advantage of the gap of national policies; Second, the "marginal benefit" strategy-in the past, doing a business earned a lot of money, and it will not be too much in the future. We must learn to be cautious, we must do small profits but quick turnover business; The third is the "marginal commodity" strategy. In the past, China's exports to Russia were relatively simple, and there may be dozens or even hundreds of orders for export commodities in the future. We should be hard-working and patient in doing business. Don't expect to earn a million at a time, expect to earn a million a hundred times.
As a college student majoring in international economy and trade, you should start planning your personal development and career. During college, you should also train yourself to be calm, keep quiet when important things happen and come up with solutions quickly. And cultivate their strong communication skills and analytical skills. Make yourself have a high sense of responsibility and a courageous and cautious personality charm. Last but not least, I think it is very important to master at least one foreign language. Because international trade requires communication first.
Having a preliminary understanding of international trade, I appreciate the teaching concept of "teaching and educating people" put forward by Hu Yong. Although this idea has been publicized for a long time, it is rare for Mr. Hu to really put it into teaching instead of as a theoretical slogan. He gives priority to encouragement, constantly inspires, guides and inspires everyone, and from time to time establishes good life values and self-confidence for everyone.
A profound customs trip
Although it rains from time to time, it can't resist the eagerness of the students. Applause rang out from time to time in the conference hall. The lecture mainly talked about the relationship between customs and international trade, port reform and development, and the role of science and technology in customs. The Deputy Commissioner of Customs seems to have taken us to the Western Zhou Dynasty 3000 years ago, which was the origin of China Customs, but the customs at that time were called "Guanshi", and then passed through Qin and Han Dynasties and the end of Tang Dynasty. It is worth mentioning that after the Tang and Song Dynasties, with the development of maritime traffic and trade, urban shipping departments were set up in coastal cities and ports, which laid a preliminary foundation for ancient customs in China. It was not until the Kangxi period in the early Qing Dynasty that the name "Customs" officially appeared. But in the late Qing Dynasty and modern customs, everyone frowned. This is an era when customs sovereignty is lost! Old China lost its original right of independence, so that smuggling was rampant and taxes were not prosperous. This is the most painful history of China, which can't be forgotten and won't be forgotten! Soon after the founding of New China, the customs also experienced twists and turns. At that time, the customs was unprepared to pay attention, and there was nothing to do under the closed door. However, one day everything will be proud. With the development of the times, while the planned economy is transforming into a market economy, customs is showing itself in front of the world with a new look. Through the leadership system and policies of the new China Customs, we can see the rapid development of the new China Customs. When the Deputy Commissioner talked about anti-dumping, I asked the Deputy Commissioner what I was most interested in, that is, the quota issue. He explained to us very patiently. Because I am very interested in China's textile industry, I have consulted a lot of materials to explain the impact on China's textile industry after the quota was cancelled in 2005. Due to my limited level, it is inevitable that there will be mistakes in concept and understanding.
For China enterprises, anti-dumping is no stranger now. With China's formal entry into WTO, the anti-dumping situation faced by China enterprises is becoming more and more severe, from Japanese towels to China, from European color TVs to China lighters, from Turkish bedding to China, and then to American clothing products to China. At present, China has replaced South Korea and Japan as the country that has suffered the most anti-dumping investigations.
On June 65438+1 October1day, 2005, the global textile export quota system was cancelled. In order to protect the domestic textile industry, Europe and the United States have taken advantage of the loopholes in Article 242 (such as "market disruption" and other key concepts have not been explained or elaborated in detail), so it is difficult for the United States to find fault and demand the implementation of the "special safeguard clause". On May 3 1, the European Union also took the opportunity to join, and made a formal request for consultation with China, demanding special restrictions on T-shirts and linen shirts.
In fact, the reason why Europe and the United States took such measures was because the export quota system was abolished. Without the protection and restriction of quotas, all textile enterprises in the world will compete on the same starting line, and the global textile industry will face a "reshuffle". However, the abolition of quotas will not only lead to the transfer of global wealth from developed countries to developing countries, but also lead to political problems such as the unemployment of a large number of textile workers in importing countries. It can be predicted that with the rise of global trade protectionism, China textiles will encounter more technical barriers, special safeguard measures and anti-dumping sanctions. It just won't show up immediately after the quota is cancelled. In a word, after the quota is cancelled, the production and sales of the domestic textile industry will increase explosively, and the huge international market demand will bring high growth to the textile industry, so the listed textile companies are expected to increase substantially.
Information and Trade Geography of Bashuo Port
On the fourth day of the internship week, under the leadership of Mr Xu Xiaoxian and Mr Hu Yong, I went to Basuo Port in Dongfang City and learned about the port construction history of Basuo Port. It was built during the Japanese invasion of China, and there are still buildings left over from that time. Not far from Bashu Port, there is also a mass grave where China laborers who are exhausted from building this port are buried. The reason why the port was built here is because the Japanese discovered iron ore veins nearby, and in order to facilitate the transportation of resource plunder, the special geographical position of the Bashu river bank and the natural reefs convenient for port construction. Then I listened to Mr. Chen, who has been engaged in shipping agency business for many years, explaining the relationship between shipping agency and international trade. It is clear that shipping agency is an enterprise engaged in foreign economic and trade transportation, and undertakes all kinds of agency business for Chinese and foreign ships sailing on international routes and ports, waters and related places in China. Through his explanation, I know that learning international trade requires not only knowledge of freight, but also knowledge of trade geography. Because the geographical environment is extremely rich in content, it often affects international trade from different aspects, in different ways and to different degrees at the same time. Especially in today's increasingly fierce competition in the international market, the influence of geographical environment on international trade is more profound than ever before. Therefore, to understand the world economic geography, know yourself and know yourself can be invincible.
Unforgettable internship week
Unforgettable August 26th, today, this internship ended successfully, but I don't think it really ended. Through this internship, we have broadened our horizons and exercised my ability to learn professional knowledge by myself, which is also the significance of this internship. In the happy and independent study, I realized that university education tends to be more scientific, rational and humanized. At the same time, I began to think about how to stand on the society after leaving campus and let myself stand firm. The internship is over, and I believe it will bring us more than that. In my future study, life and even work, I will never forget what this internship has brought me.
