Brief introduction of scenic spots in Hammer Peak National Forest Park;
Hammer Peak National Forest Park is located in Chengde City, Hebei Province. Built in 1993, covering an area of 4020 hectares. It has been about 3 million years since the hammer peak was formed. It is tall and straight, towering into the sky, thick on the top and thin on the bottom, much like a mallet for laundry, so it is commonly known as croquet hill.
Hammer Peak National Forest Park is surrounded by Chengde, a famous historical and cultural city, and is integrated with the famous summer resort at home and abroad and the majestic Waibamiao scenic spot. Wulie River runs through the whole territory from north to south. The soil-based rocks in the park are deep purple and dark gray river conglomerate, granite and gneiss. The soil types are brown soil, cinnamon soil and meadow soil.
The park vegetation belongs to temperate broad-leaved forest belt, with 45 families and 83 families 142 species of woody plants, including 77 species of trees, 55 species of shrubs, 0/0 species of vines and more than 0/00 species of wild animals and birds.
The topography of the park belongs to hilly area, and it belongs to the transition zone between Inner Mongolia platform anticline and Yanshan subsidence zone in geotectonics. About 70 million years ago, in the global orogeny, strata of different times rose to land with the crustal movement, forming geological units of low mountains and hills. After magma and carbon dioxide are dissolved in water, various rock shapes are produced. After a long period of weathering and denudation, all kinds of strange peaks, different rocks, caves and precipices have naturally formed, which constitute the special landscape of Danxia in Chengde.
Looking up at the peak from the foot of Hammer Peak, surrounded by white clouds, the sides are as steep as knives, which is very magnificent. It is clearly a symbol of masculinity and also a symbol of Chengde, a mountain city. According to the survey, the elevation of Bangcroquet Mountain is 596.29 meters, the height of the stone mallet is 38.29 meters, the average diameter of the upper part is 15.04 meters, and the diameter of the lower part is 10.07 meters. The pedestal is 21.13m high, 38m long, 3m wide, 6508m3 in volume and weighs about162,000kg, which is better than the "God's Thumb" in Namibia, southwest Africa. This is a must in the world. A Mongolian mulberry tree grows vertically and horizontally in the middle of the hammer peak at a distance of 0/8m from the base/kloc-. According to research, it is over 300 years old. Hammer peak is a sedimentary rock formed by gravel. In this natural environment with little water and soil, Mongolian mulberry trees with a trunk diameter of more than 30 centimeters and a height of more than 3 meters still grow vigorous and tall, with dense branches and leaves, which is amazing. 500 meters south of Qingbi Hammer Peak, there is a protruding natural boulder named toad stone, which is about 20 meters long and 14 meters high. There is a horizontal stone crack on the cliff overlooking the stone statue. A toad jumps into the blue sky, holds its head high and opens its mouth slightly, with a vivid and lifelike expression. There is a cave under the boulder, with five zang-organs entering, buttock coming out and north-south running through, about 1.8m high and 9m deep. The width can accommodate more than a dozen people, and the narrowest place can only allow one person to climb over. Visitors can get into its abdomen and climb to its top. In the cave in summer, the cool breeze blows gently and it is refreshing and unusual. Go in and have a rest, and the summer heat will all go away. Because of these peculiar characteristics, toad stone is called "peerless stone".
