1936 Did China participate in the Olympic Games?

China participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games.

China * * * sent 69 athletes (67 men and 2 women) to participate in six major events: track and field, swimming, weightlifting, boxing, cycling, basketball and football. Except for Fu who passed the pole vault (the final was also eliminated), the rest were eliminated in the preliminary round. In addition, a Wushu performance team (6 men and 3 women) and a sports delegation (35 men and 2 women) were sent. The delegation visited some European countries, including Germany. Despite the poor performance of China athletes in official competitions, the martial arts performance stunned westerners, especially the duet was very popular with the audience.
