Protecting Henan and Jiangsu is false. According to an interview with the Flood Control and Drought Relief Department of the Emergency Management Department of Anhui Province, the flood discharge of the two major reservoirs in Hefei belongs to normal water conservancy dispatching and has nothing to do with the flood discharge in Henan Province. Therefore, it is not true that flood discharge in Anhui Province is to protect Henan and Jiangsu, and flood discharge in Anhui Province is mainly to prevent heavy rainfall caused by typhoons.
The main purpose of Wangjiaba flood discharge is to protect Anhui. This pothole was originally designed as a flood discharge area. Anhui's protection is to prevent the Huaihe River levee from breaking and poor drainage leading to waterlogging. The small drop leads to very limited flow of Huaihe River in Anhui Province.
The flow into the sea in the lower reaches of Jiangsu is greater than that in Huaihe River. Because of the large-scale rainfall, in order to prevent waterlogging, all rainwater is discharged into Huaihe River and then into the sea except through the reservoir.
