1978 Summer, 16-year-old Wu and an iron buddy in the village discussed: Let's make a walking machine together. At that time, he did not know the concept of "robot". After more than a year's struggle, the first robot appeared: it was shaped like a human iron sheet, with two thick iron wires connected to a gear and a small motor as the power. After the small motor is started, it drives two iron wires to move back and forth, and the "Tin Man" begins to move. This is Wu's robot debut, named "Boss Wu". From that day on, he became addicted. 1989 In the summer, Wu was making the robot "Wu Laoer". Looking for materials at the scrap yard, he found a section of "No.7 battery", and the label was full of foreign languages, such as "imported goods". He hurriedly took it home, ready to become the driving force of "Wu Laoer". When he connected the positive and negative poles of the battery, there was a loud noise and it exploded! Wu's left hand was suddenly bloody and his skin turned up. Neighbors took him to the hospital and gave him more than a dozen injections of anesthetic before closing the wound.
Wu's ring finger was blown off. Until now, this finger is always cold in winter. Later, Wu Cai knew that the exploding "battery" was actually a detonator, and the English letter "TNT" written on it meant explosive. Although the cost of things recovered from the scrap yard is low, more sophisticated parts are needed to make the robot move "obediently". Wu pointed to a toy helicopter that was torn to pieces and said, "I only use it to remotely control hundreds of toys." For example, he can remove the motor from a new motorcycle and buy a car seat from the auto parts city.
1999 One summer day, Wu took his family to a neighboring village to repair farm tools, but it didn't take long before he received a phone call from the village asking them to go home quickly. Wu just rode his bike to the outside of the village, when he saw the smoke rolling from his own direction. The village loudspeaker shouted, "Members have all gone to the Wu family to put out the fire." By the time they got to the door, the whole house had been burned into three purlins. Dong left home with his children, intending to divorce Wu: "Let him live with robots". In 2003, Wu took his robot son to the Science and Technology Week and performed in the Great Hall of the People, which was warmly welcomed! Later, he was named "Top Ten News Figures in Beijing Suburb" by Beijing, and was awarded the prize by the city leaders.
In 2004, he won the first prize in the Farmer robot contest sponsored by Hunan Satellite TV, and won the title of "the smartest farmer inventor" with a prize of 1 10,000 yuan.
In 2005, he worked as a prop teacher in the science section of CCTV 10 channel and won the Excellence Award in prop design and production.
In 2006, he participated in the "Creative China" competition hosted by Shenzhen Satellite TV and won the championship trophy. Also participated in the "Talent Competition" held by Shanxi Satellite TV, and still won the championship trophy.
In 2007, he was hired as a technical consultant by Shanxi Lantern Company and a company in Zhejiang. At the invitation of Guangzhou Municipal Government, I participated in the 13th Machinery Expo, and made a robot cart-pulling performance at the opening ceremony.
In 2008, he was invited to participate in exhibitions in Hong Kong and Tianjin.
In 2009, Wu's robot son was exhibited with the Shenzhou VII spacecraft in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and was warmly welcomed by the masses! He was invited to give a wonderful speech to the students of Hebei University of Science and Technology and Shijiazhuang No.9 Middle School. With experience, the design is handy. It only takes 2 hours to design a rolling mechanical dog; The "super bachelor" who was successfully produced in less than three months has been bought by a college student for 30 thousand yuan.
He cooperates with his son who is studying computer science to make more practical and intelligent robots. He is in charge of hardware design and his son is in charge of programming. At present, the two have made a "Wu Lao 33" who can turn over regularly for patients and a "Wu Lao 34" who can play chess. In Lao Wu's mind, the biggest goal is to build a robot factory-manage mechanical design by himself, program by his son and assemble by workers. "At that time, it was no problem for us to become millionaires." Lao Wu has obviously taken his youngest son, Wu Dang, who is studying computer, as his successor.
Wu is a freshman in Beijing Information Science and Technology University. He joined the school science and technology club. Lao Wu said that Xiao Wu once invented a household burglar alarm, as smart as himself. Now, Wu has begun to learn the single-chip microcomputer and related knowledge. I believe that the robot dream of Lao Wu and his son will be realized step by step in the future.
