Diaolongbei Scenic Area is located 25 kilometers northeast of Zaoyang City. Since 1990, the Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has carried out five excavations. Within the excavation area of15000m2, 2 1 houses, 75 caves, 133 vertical caves, 63 clay pots, 23 animal tombs and 40 excavations in three different periods were discovered.
Jiuliandun Chu Tomb Scenic Area is located in Zhaohu Village, Wudian Town, 25 kilometers southeast of Zaoyang City. There are still nine sealed mounds in the cemetery, numbered 1-9 from south to north. Standing on the top of the mountain, we can see nine raised mounds standing on the top of the mountain from south to north. In 2006, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Hexiong Scenic Area is located 28 kilometers southwest of Zaoyang City, with Dahongshan in the south. With a planned area of 68.42 square kilometers, the scenic spot has five scenic spots, namely Qinglong Mountain Scenic Spot, Shui Ying Lake Scenic Spot, Huaguoshan Scenic Spot, Yeguogou Scenic Spot and Sakura Mountain Scenic Spot, 1 tourist service area, ***99 important scenic spots, 5 resorts and 8 eco-agricultural manors.
Baishui Temple Scenic Area is located in Wudian Town, which is 0/5 km south of Zaoyang/Kloc-,and is the hometown of Liu Xiu. There are 1 national key cultural relics protection units and 2 provincial key cultural relics protection units in the area, which have been listed as Hubei provincial-level scenic spots and national AAA-level tourist areas. Liu Xiu, the founder of the Eastern Han Dynasty Empire in China, is the ancestor of temples and posthumous title of Guangwu Emperor.
