Carton manufacturing process
1. Determine the size of the product to be packaged.
The size of the product directly determines the size of the outer packaging box, and its accuracy is very important. Measure the length, width and height of the product accurately with a tape measure and record it on paper. For items with irregular shapes, the largest point must be selected for measurement.
2. Determine the size of the cardboard
After determining the product size, the next important step is to determine the size of cardboard used to make cartons according to the product size. As we all know, a cuboid or cube carton is a rectangular cardboard when it is laid flat, the length of the rectangular cardboard is (length+width) x2 of the carton, and the width of the cardboard is the width+height of the carton.
3. Cut the cardboard
Lay the prepared cardboard flat on the floor, measure the required length with a tape measure, and mark it with strokes. Be careful to choose two points, because they will form a straight line. After marking the two points, take off the tape measure, press the cardboard in two directions with a ruler or other straight tools, and cut the cardboard along the ruler with a utility knife. Note that the blade should not protrude too much, and the angle between the blade and the cardboard should not be too large. Use a blade to gently stroke the bottom along the ruler. The cardboard had better be cut at one time. Select the width in the same way, and cut out the cardboard with the required size with the art knife.
4, making carton pressing line
After the cardboard is cut, all we have to do now is mark the size we recorded on the paper on the cardboard. According to the size we recorded, measure the corresponding size on the cardboard with a tape measure and draw it with strokes. The effect is as follows (the black dot is the mark indicating the size): after the mark is marked, the pressure line is marked next. Align the two corresponding points on both sides of the cardboard with a ruler so that they are in the same straight line. Scrape the cardboard gently along the ruler with a utility knife. When rowing, press the ruler tightly and don't move it to avoid straightening. Pay less attention, and you can see the marks by cutting the cardboard skin with the tip of a knife. Don't cut too deep to avoid cutting the cardboard: after all the pressing lines are cut, you can use the handle part to deepen the pressing lines along the scratches, which will make it easier to fold the cardboard. After the pressing line is cut, you should cut off the open ears at both ends of the carton.
5, carton forming
Fold the cardboard into a cuboid along the long side according to the marked pressing line, and put the joint part into the carton. If there is white glue, you can apply some white glue to the joint, or stick the joint together with strong double-sided tape, and then seal it with transparent tape outside. Fold the openings at both ends and seal them with transparent tape. At this point, the production of ordinary boxes is basically completed.
