It was formed by the merger of the former Fushun Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, Fushun Labor Health Supervision and Inspection Institute, Fushun Institute for the Prevention and Control of Endemic Diseases and Fushun Institute for Health Education. It is a department-level institution affiliated to the Municipal Health Bureau, and a professional institution that applies modern preventive medicine theory and technology to carry out disease prevention, health examination, scientific research and training.
