Nanjing Institute of Environmental Science, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, is a fully invested company, the first organic food certification institution in China, and the first batch of food and agricultural products certification institutions approved by CNCA. It has been recognized by China National Accreditation Committee for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), IOAS, International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM), the European Union, Canada and the United States.
Experts from Nanjing Guo Huan went to Europe and Thailand to attend CNCA talks on organic mutual recognition between Chinese and European governments and between Chinese and Thai governments, and provided technical support for organic mutual recognition between China, Singapore and China and Denmark.

Main requirements of organic food certification bodies
1. Certification bodies should have sufficient resources and technical capabilities and a sound financial management system, and their technical capabilities should be proved through the training and experience of management personnel and personnel. Standards, inspection and certification should cover all relevant aspects of products and operators.
2. The organizational structure and procedures of the certification body should be able to ensure that its operation is not affected by the interests of any third party.
3. Certification bodies shall clearly define and manage the use of certificates issued by them and their marks.

If the personnel of the certification body have any family or business (trade or consultation) relationship with the operator, they should sign an agreement stating that they will not participate in any decision or inspection activities related to the operator. If the inspector has done consulting work for the operator, this period should be extended to two years before the inspection.
