Xue Pinggui and Wang Baochuan is an annual drama produced by Huace Film and Television. The play is supervised by gold medal screenwriter and producer Jian Yuanxin, directed by director Lin Tianyi, and co-starred by powerful actors Jessica Hester Hsuan and Chen Musheng. The story of Xue Pinggui and Wang Baochuan is adapted from the folklore of the same name, which tells the true love story of Prince Xue Pinggui and Wang Baochuan, the third daughter of Guo Xiang, who have gone through hardships and are not afraid of power and poverty. During the ruling period, due to the court struggle, the prince was exiled to the people and changed his surname to Xue and his name was Pinggui. When Xue Pinggui grew up, he went to Chang 'an, where he met Prime Minister Wang Yun.
