Fuyong expressway is an important part of the Ningde-Zhaoan line in shenyang-haikou expressway, and the second vertical in the "three verticals and eight horizontals" expressway skeleton network in the economic zone on the west side of the Straits. It is the main road of external traffic in Yongtai Mountain area, and the most convenient passage from Yongtai County to downtown Fuzhou, further narrowing the distance between famous scenic spots such as Qishan Forest Park in Jiang Nanan, Eighteen Rivers in Yongtai and Qingyun Mountain and Gushan in downtown Fuzhou. After the opening of Fuyong Expressway, Yongtai ended the history without expressway, and Fuzhou also realized the "county-to-county expressway".
It is understood that the Fuzhou-Yongtai expressway project is 66.3 kilometers long, with an estimated total investment of 8.06 billion yuan. According to the standard of two-way six-lane expressway, the design speed is100km, and the subgrade width is 33.5m.. The project starts from Nanyu Town, Minhou County, passes through Geling Town, Chengfeng Town and Chixi Township of Yongtai County, and finally reaches the junction of Wu Tong Town and Xianyou County. Main lines include: 0/4 tunnels/kloc-0, 5 interchanges, 35 extra-large bridges, 72 culverts, 9 passages and 2 footbridges. According to relevant sources, although the bridge-tunnel ratio of Fuyong Expressway is as high as 46.8%, the engineering difficulty coefficient is not large. Subgrade earthwork is 9.34 million cubic meters, and drainage and protection works are 350,000 cubic meters. In this project, controlled blasting construction technology is mainly used for excavation of stone subgrade. The main pavement adopts asphalt concrete scheme. In addition to Minhou Nanyu Interchange, there are five interchanges along the project, namely Qishan, Geling, Yongtai East, Yongtai West and Wu Tong, all of which are connected with the 203 provincial highway. Among them, Nanyu Hub Interchange and Qishan Interchange are located in Minhou.

Geling Lijiao: Located in Geling Town, Yongtai, it is convenient for citizens or tourists to drive through this interchange to Fangguangyan, Lefeng Chibi Scenic Area, Hot Spring Resort and Dazhangxi Recreation Area.
Yongtai East Interchange: It is about 10 minutes' drive from Yongtai Chengguan, and it is the most convenient interchange between Fuzhou and Yongtai Chengguan. It will be more convenient for citizens to visit scenic spots such as Qingyun Mountain and Genting in China. Residents of Yongtai Chengguan and Shizhen can also go up and down at Fuyong Expressway through this interchange.
Yongtai West Interchange: It is connected with 182 county road and 203 provincial road, which can facilitate people to travel in Xishan area such as Dayang and Tongan. The interchange is adjacent to Yongtai Station of Xiangpu Railway, which will be completed soon, and will be effectively connected with railway transportation to quickly evacuate the train station.
