Because I have the same dream of touring in an RV as everyone else, I want to share with you some experiences of "old drivers" after traveling in an RV for one year.
First, traffic regulations.
1, limit line
As a kind of van, RV has limited laws and regulations at home and abroad. For example, in Europe, the city center is absolutely forbidden to enter.
Please don't break into the restriction sign at your own risk.
Solution:
1, stop outside the city. After the RV campsite stops, it is best to ride a bike or take a bus to the city.
Of course, if your RV is a trailer, you can settle it down and drive it into the city.
When traveling in Italy, we parked our RV in the parking lot near the church and enjoyed a quiet night.
2. expressway
Even if you can drive the RV to 200 mph, as a "truck", you can't take the expressway on the left, so you can only take the slow lane in the middle or on the right. Otherwise, if you are photographed or meet the police, the direct fine is not negotiable.
Second, safety.
There is everything in the RV, you know, so is the thief. The goal of the RV is so big, we must be wary of being remembered by "people with a will".
Solution:
1. You can park in front of a large supermarket during the day.
At night, if the security in the city is good, you can sleep peacefully. If you don't trust, Ma Liuer will move to the campsite.
2. Install anti-theft lock
This is the same as the security door. The key point is to prolong the thief's crime time and prevent him from entering the car in seconds. If he can't pry it open, the thief gives up.
3. Before people leave the car
All the windows are tightly closed, and all the curtains are tightly drawn, so nothing can be seen from the window.
Step 4 wear plain clothes
Don't act like you have an RV. Many foreigners have RVs at home, but they don't necessarily have money, so China people are different. In the eyes of foreigners, China people bring their own "rich" signs. Keep a low profile and pay attention to safety.
Third, RV replenishment and sewage discharge.
If you want the RV to run normally, you need to add water and electricity frequently. To meet the toilet problem, we must also solve the sewage problem.
Solution:
1, stop at the RV campsite every day.
Campsites have high, medium and low grades, but they often cannot coexist. In many places, there is only one open space, several charging piles and a faucet. But it's better than not supplying it. Therefore, the water and electricity of the RV should be fully supplemented. However, it should not be too much. After all, after filling up with water, the fuel consumption is also quite large.
2. Gas
If you plan to cook in the car, the gas tank is necessary, but you must turn off the gas tank when driving, otherwise it will be dangerous.
Step 3 excrete
First, go to the RV shop to buy a bottle of feces. This thing is super useful. A small bottle cap can not only turn solid into liquid, but also sterilize and deodorize.
Without this, I'm afraid there will be no room in the express train soon. These excrement are not dumped at will.
RV campsites and some large gas stations have special dumping places for feces.
Europe is very particular about this. Of course, some mountains really can't go deep. If you fall, you will fall.
