The design of Haikou East Railway Station takes "sea wave" as the motif, the "coconut leaf"-shaped spindle tension beam structure as the matrix, supplemented by lighting and shading system, to create a waiting space with coconut wind and sea rhyme, and the design alternates with reality. Square, ordinary waiting room, roof, city and rail transit area are connected at three levels, just like waves, implying a beautiful blueprint of "various industries".
The facade grille is the design feature of the main structure outline of the station. Combined with the substructure, a strong sense of rhythm is formed on the main facade. In addition, the simple use of materials, the combination of silver-white metal strips and light blue sunshade film, and the echo of brown clay plates and sea blue glass express the high coordination between nature and humanity.
Architectural design of Haikou East Station
The treatment of the fully open corridor on the first floor is not only suitable for the local climate characteristics, but also fully meets the design requirements of transparent and convenient entrance of the hall, and the well provides a comfortable buffer zone for entering and leaving the station. Shuttle skylight and curved sections on both sides are beneficial to steering flow and strengthening natural ventilation. The waiting space is semi-open, and mechanical ventilation can be selectively used according to the seasonal climate. The interior is dominated by white stone, and the combination of steel and wood elements is used as furniture and indoor partition. Traditional modes and technologies enable passengers to appreciate local characteristics during a short trip.
