Xiaojiang Zhenhai has convenient land and air transportation, which is 3 km away from Aojiang Port/KLOC-0 and 70km away from Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport. 104 National Highway and Wenfu Railway under construction run through the whole territory, Yongtaiwen expressway is opened in the town, and a high-grade century avenue is connected with Longgang.
Xiaojiang Town, built in 1985, is a young and dynamic industrial and trade new city. Xiaojiang Town is a concentrated area of plastic weaving industry in Wenzhou and even the whole country. It is one of the four industrial star towns in Pingyang County and the largest plastic weaving production base in China. In 2002, the comprehensive economic strength ranked 16 in Wenzhou Top 30. /kloc-0 was named "China Plastic Weaving City" and "China Plastic Weaving First Town" by China Regional Development Promotion Association in 1999, and won the title of Wenzhou in 2002. The prosperity of plastic weaving industry has promoted the rapid prosperity of financial, real estate, transportation, hotels and other service and entertainment industries, as well as professional markets such as clothing, non-staple food, agricultural products and raw materials.
