What should be the content of the textbook Introduction to Library Science?

For 8 years, I have been teaching undergraduates an introduction to library science. Undergraduate teaching needs to specify teaching materials. At present, the textbooks of introduction to library science in China mainly include Wu Weici's Introduction to Library Science (revised edition), Ni Bo's Course of Theoretical Library Science, Basic Course of Library Science in Wang Zizhou, Introduction to Library Science in Yu Liangzhi, Introduction to Library Science in Huang and Principles of Library Science in Jihao. The contents of these textbooks mostly include the history of library (science), the social function of library, the types of library, the working principle of library, the future development of library, the basic theory of library science (basic concepts, research objects, theoretical system, research methods, related disciplines, professional philosophy, etc. ). As an introductory textbook, it is understandable to include the above contents. But I always feel that the contents of the above textbooks lack an important content-readers' rights and library rights. All the textbooks listed above have no special chapter on "Readers' Rights and Library Rights". Library is a public facility to realize readers' rights, and library rights are the professional responsibility to protect readers' rights. We have always said that the value of a library lies in meeting the needs of readers. However, there is no special content about readers' rights and library rights in the introductory textbook of library science. How can we prove the value and mission of a library? Readers' rights and library rights are a basic problem of library science. As a "basic question", should they be included in the introductory textbook of library science? Ladies and gentlemen, do you think the introductory textbook of library science should have a special chapter on "readers' rights and library rights"? Why?
