Beijing Technology and Business University (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Technology and Business University) is a key research university in Beijing, and a doctoral degree awarding unit. It has been selected into the education and training program of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students in China, and the high-tech discipline construction project of Beijing universities.
As a member of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei University Business Collaborative Innovation Alliance, the initiator of the National Regional Financial Forum and the director of the China Financial Annual Meeting, the first food science and engineering major in China has passed the international double certification of the American Food Science and Technology Association and the International Food Science and Technology Alliance. 1959 established the Central Business School, and 1960 changed its name to Beijing Business School, which was the earliest school established in New China.
The school was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Light Industry, Beijing Business School and Machinery Industry Management Cadre College on June 1999. Beijing University of Commerce, formerly known as the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives Cadre School, was established in 1950 and the Central Commercial Cadre School in 1953. It is the first batch of national master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council, and it has successively been subordinate to the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Internal Trade.

Collection Resources The Library of Beijing Technology and Business University was merged from the Library of Beijing Institute of Light Industry and the Library of Beijing Business College on June 1999. Including Fucheng Road Campus Library and Liangxiang Campus Library, it consists of seven departments: office, editorial department, reference department, technology department, circulation reading department I, circulation reading department II and multimedia information department.
The total building area is 25,793.1m2, with 215/kloc-0 reading seats and 65,438 computers for readers. The wireless network covers all areas of the building. By the end of 20021,there were 10,000 kinds of paper documents, 727 kinds of Chinese and foreign paper periodicals, 0.3110,000 kinds of electronic books and 99 databases. There are 36,035 volumes in the archives, 90% of which have been digitized.
It has successively signed document delivery agreements with Peking University Library and Tsinghua University Library, joined CALIS, BALIS Inter-library Cooperation Network and Beijing University Library Consortium Inter-library Loan System, and formed a document resource guarantee system with economics, management and engineering as the main body, literature and history as well as printing resources, electronic resources, network resources and multimedia resources.
