Baiyin Vocational and Technical College of Mining and Metallurgy is a comprehensive public institution of higher learning approved by Gansu Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Baiyin city, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation, only 40 minutes' drive from Lanzhou, the provincial capital. From June, 5438 to February, 2020, Baiyin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to merge Baiyin Industrial School and Jingyuan Normal School into Baiyin Vocational and Technical College of Mining and Metallurgy, and planned to set up eight secondary colleges, including Education Art College, Electromechanical Engineering College, Automobile Engineering College, Information Engineering College, Mining and Metallurgy Engineering College, Economic Management College, Modern Service College and Architectural Engineering College. The school has always taken specialty construction as the leader of connotation construction, and has formed a specialty category characterized by resource development and electromechanical numerical control, supported by automobile engineering, industrial robots, economic management, information technology and preschool education. It has built Sino-German Novo Automobile College, Xindao Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, Dechet Internet College, Huazhong CNC Industrial Robot Application Center and "Sun Yaoheng" national master workshop. It has built 16 national and provincial excellent teaching teams in metallurgical technology, industrial analysis technology, numerical control technology, application and maintenance of new energy vehicles, and intelligent finance and taxation, and truly realized the "double docking" of specialty and industry, teaching and post.
The school and Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group Co., Ltd. carried out in-depth school-enterprise cooperation, set up an order class named after Baiyin Nonferrous Metals Group, and cooperated to build a pilot project of 1+X certificate in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy. At the same time, we will cooperate with Sino-German Novo (Beijing) Education Investment Co., Ltd., Navigation Standard Education Group, Beijing Dexin Heli Education Technology Co., Ltd., German Handicraft Association, Aucma Co., Ltd. and Dana Education Group to carry out school-enterprise cooperation, order training, cooperative education and cooperative employment. The school has also established long-term cooperative relations with more than 300 large enterprises at home and abroad, providing a wide range of jobs for graduates. The employment rate of graduates is stable at over 95% all the year round. The school will also set its sights on the world, actively introduce high-quality educational resources from developed countries such as the United States and Germany, establish training bases in "Belt and Road" countries such as Zambia, and become the first batch of pilot institutions for vocational education "going out" by the Ministry of Education.
