The planting of Chinese herbal medicine is slightly different due to different geographical climate and environment, depending on the planting location. As far as I know, there are generally Chinese herbal medicines that like cold and heat-resistant, as well as bulk Chinese herbal medicines and specific Chinese herbal medicines. Cold-loving Chinese herbal medicines are not heat-tolerant, and are generally planted in middle and high altitude areas, such as Pinellia ternata and ginseng. Heat-resistant Chinese herbal medicines are relatively heat-resistant and can be planted in plain areas or the south, such as Dendrobium. Bulk medicinal materials have low added value, easy planting and short growth cycle. Usually it can be harvested in the same year (it takes two years to raise seedlings). Specific Chinese herbal medicines have great added value, difficult planting and long growth cycle, which usually takes 6 to 8 years to harvest, process and sell.
At present, Chinese herbal medicines have been planted in deserts in Xinjiang, Gansu and Tibet, and some successful experiences have been achieved.
At present, there are many people who plant Pinellia ternata, Paris polyphylla, Panax notoginseng, Codonopsis pilosula, Sophora flavescens, Dipsacus, Platycodon grandiflorum, Lily, Radix Rehmanniae and Atractylodis Macrocephala. Yunnan-Guizhou area, but all of them are small and medium-sized planting, and the sales channels are unstable and follow the crowd.
Whether any project is good or not is relative, depending on the individual's situation. The same is true of Chinese herbal medicine cultivation. If you do well, you can set up a company to export (there is still a big gap in the export of Chinese herbal medicines). If you can't do it well, you can't even get back the capital. Therefore, we should choose carefully and manage carefully in order to achieve satisfactory results.
