Last year, I made two applications on our platform, one is the quality control system of the platform, and the other is the weighing system. At the same time, I recently made a PDA part when I was working on an ERP project. If classified, I call these systems tool systems. Similarly, there is a ordering system for the clerk to go out to eat, and a PDA system that the courier brother holds when we receive the courier.
I summed up several characteristics of tool products:
1. Usually, the user terminal is a mobile terminal.
Due to the particularity of tool products, the convenience required is particularly important and often needs to be used in different scenarios. Background products that use tool products are generally mobile products. Such as PDA, PAD, mobile APP, etc. So generally speaking, when designing, we must choose the appropriate operating terminal according to different business scenarios.
2. The operability is particularly strong.
Compared with other background products, tool products are particularly operational. Specifically, tool products should be developed to meet certain operating procedures, standardization, intelligence and intensification. So at this time, it is very important to use the operation of the tool background product, which is also its purpose.
When designing tool products, we need to consider the following aspects:
(1) Interactions such as operation steps and input buttons need to be considered. Because the core function of the tool is operation, how to achieve the operation purpose simply and conveniently in this scenario needs designers to think.
(2) Tool products often use mobile scenes instead of operating on computers like other background products. So at this time, we should consider the usage scenarios of tool products. For example, if PDA is used in a large market, the signal may not be very good, so what kind of experience should it be in a weak network environment, whether the pictures are loaded or not, and whether the operation steps should be simplified; Another example is the menu treasure of a restaurant. Users should ask whether the sound should be louder in a noisy place like a restaurant.
3. Compared with other background products, the authority is lower, the whole is simpler and the function is more single.
When we generally refer to background products, the impression may be complicated. However, because the operators of tool products are generally actual business operators, their authority is generally low. At the same time, because it may just be a set of tools to meet some needs. Therefore, due to the above reasons, tool products will be simpler than ordinary background products, and their functions will be relatively simple.
Record class
Recording products refer to products developed by business personnel for the traceability of future operations, as well as some records of what is needed at present in the later stage of work. For example, my recent ERP system needs to record the arrival and warehousing of goods, and the newly purchased goods need to be entered, all of which are recorded products. Generally speaking, recording products do not exist alone, but as a small part of a large system.
I summarized several characteristics of recording products:
1. When planning fields, an identification field should be added to record products.
Because record products will be used as reference records for some future work to a great extent, their data is highly mobile, and there is a high possibility of being merged with other data, being audited and changed by business personnel, and sometimes they need to be archived. 2. When generating new record data, it should be considered comprehensively.
When designing record products, it is necessary to carefully consider the generation method of each data. Because your entire page is actually generated by adding each new record, you must control it at the source.
