The predecessor of Guangzhou Industrial and Commercial College is Guangzhou Huadu Yang Huan Business School, which was founded by Guangzhou Huadu Yang Huan Trading Co., Ltd. on 1995. In 2000, the school was renamed Guangzhou Yang Huan College (Huadu College of Guangdong Science and Technology Cadre College). In July, 20001year, Huadu College of Guangdong University of Commerce was established in cooperation with Guangdong University of Commerce. In 2004, with the approval of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, the college was renamed Guangzhou Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce.
