How to Learn Buddhism [16] Learning Buddhism requires bodhicitta: the purpose of learning Buddhism (1)

For every Buddhist, learning Buddhism is a very important link. The purpose of learning Buddhism is to practice and obtain evidence. So in the process of learning Buddhism, what problems will pedestrians involve? This is what everyone needs to know. The third lecture mainly talked about the practice of Buddha, what is a monk, five precepts and ten good deeds. When we understand the basic concepts of Buddhism, Dharma, Monk and precept, we will begin to explore how to learn Buddhism. As for how to learn Buddhism, it can be divided into five parts. First, learning Buddhism requires bodhicitta. Second, the process of learning Buddhism. Third, learn Buddhism for the second time. Fourth, the body and religion of Buddhism. Fifth, the choice of legal significance. Below, let's analyze them one by one.

First, learning Buddhism requires bodhicitta.

(A) the purpose of learning Buddhism

? If the concept of "four not bad and clean" is defined, what is the legal significance? I also made a choice, so I need to start thinking about the purpose of learning Buddhism.

? Although the focus and core of our practice is liberation, liberation is not the ultimate goal of our study of Buddhism. The ultimate goal of studying Buddhism is to develop bodhicitta. We don't study Buddhism for ourselves, which must be clear.

We have been reincarnated for generations in the six divisions of the third causality and the wheel of karma. In this life alone, we have parents, relatives and friends, wives and children. Not before Sakyamuni Buddha, but after Sakyamuni Buddha, we have been reincarnated for more than 2500 years. Only parents, wives and children, brothers and sisters, four relatives and six relatives for more than 2500 years, this account will be known as soon as it is calculated. What we see and touch now may be our own relatives or those of future generations. Whether you meet an enemy or a benefactor, you may be your own relatives, relatives from generation to generation. In this case, there is no need to be so impulsive when you see a benefactor, and you won't hate when you meet an enemy. Because they are all in samsara, we should develop bodhicitta when learning Buddhism and teach the process of learning Buddhism to these people around us.

I always say: We should put an end to greed and ignorance. The reason why I talk more about eradicating greed and ignorance is because my focus is liberation. So, why should I emphasize this point? Because if we don't regard liberation as the core, focus and center of gravity of practice, but keep making empty wishes and showing mercy to others, this kind of learning Buddha is floating there, floating there and hanging there. The meaning of the law is clear, and there is no effort at all. It is very difficult to talk about giving up. Do what you are satisfied with and want to do, and quit if you are slightly unhappy, depressed, annoyed or tangled. This practice is too bitter, and it is bound to take many detours.

? From the whole life experience, liberation is very important. Sakyamuni Buddha left his dharma body and wisdom in the world 2,500 years ago. But we have been walking back and forth for more than 2500 years. We often say that the human body is rare for thousands of times. Now I finally get my body, but I just talk about great compassion and bodhi wish. As a result, even my greed and ignorance have not been solved. If what I'm doing now is good humanity and good law, once I lose my body, it's hard to come back.

A true liberator, he can live and die freely, he can go in and out of six lanes at will, he can get a person if he wants, and he can turn a cow if he wants. Only in this way can a liberator truly spread Buddhism and benefit his life. Only such a quitter can have a long-term vision, and what he sees is not the whole life of a sentient being. Only such liberators can adapt to fate and do whatever they want. If he wants to be a dog, he can communicate with dogs. If he wants to be a cow, he can communicate with cows in the herd. If this level of sentient beings has arrived and converted to adults, he will be a man and take them to practice.

Therefore, we can see that the old monk Xu Yun and those eminent monks and great virtues all crumpled their ashes with flour and scattered them in the middle of the river, and the clouds became attached to the aquarium. If they have a chance to get a human body, these monks and great virtues will come to the earth again to further attract them and guide them. Therefore, it is very important for a true bodhisattva to be enlightened and liberated. If you don't get rid of yourself, this bodhi initiation is only temporary, and eventually it will fall into the good law.

Perhaps most people know that man's success is the success of Buddha, that is, he can become a Buddha if he does it well. But where did this man's achievements come from? This was said by the great Buddhist teacher Taixu in the Republic of China. Master Tai talked about:

? Only Buddha has a complete personality; The success of man is the success of Buddha, which is a real reality.

So, what is the prerequisite for human beings to become Buddhas? Only Buddha. Therefore, worshipping Buddha is based on bodhicitta. In other words, man's achievement is the achievement of Buddha, which is based on bodhicitta. There are subtle differences. It is recognized that. When we are finished, we need bodhicitta to become a Buddha. Bodhisattva is centrifugal, compassionate and Kong Zhi. Without a correct understanding of these concepts, it is more difficult to become a Buddha. Later, we learned the meaning of bodhicitta.

Origin:

Buddhism is very dull, just telling you the truth of life in the universe. The Buddha's dharma is to focus on the immediate value of life, solve the immediate impulse of life, and let all living beings enjoy the pain.

Do we really realize our inner problems? Did we catch what we wanted? Do you live the life you want? Are you pursuing your deepest and truest needs?

Few people, Buddha stinks. "Who can hear the voices of the Buddhas in Lei Zhen, who sings alone in the sleep of life and death. All sentient beings are often entangled in troubles and serious illnesses. Who can be a good doctor in China? " Those who can smell this relief are all people with great blessings.

Practice, when you want to stay, there is no time. If you don't go now, don't go.
