Where is Li Shucheng's former residence?

Li Shucheng's former residence is a cultural relic protection unit in Hubei Province.

Li Shucheng's former residence is located at No.51,Wu Luo Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan. 1932 is the residence of Li Shucheng during his employment in Wuhan.

On the south slope of Wuchang Snake Mountain, near a path, there is a two-story building at the end of the winding path, which connects Chinese and western styles. The marble inscription in front of the building reads: "This is the residence of Li Shucheng when he was the director of the construction department and the director of the civil affairs department of Hubei Province at 1932."

Li Shucheng (1882~ 1965), a native of Qianjiang, Hubei Province, followed Sun Yat-sen at the age of 23 and fought alongside Huang Xing in the Yuanhe-War. About 192 1 years ago, he supported and helped his younger brother Li to establish a party in China, and the first congress of China was held in his home in Shanghai.

He is a hero who liberated Wuhan. Bai Chongxi threatened to blow up Zhang Gongdi, Wutaimen, water plant and power plant when retreating. Li Shucheng went to negotiate and asked, "Don't you want to drive the people to death? You can blow it up if you want, but blow me up first! " Due to the prevention of Li Shucheng and others, Wuhan was saved from disaster.

Li Shucheng was invited to attend the first plenary session of China People's Political Consultative Conference. 1 949 65438+1October1attended the inauguration ceremony. Nominated by Zhou Enlai, he became the first agriculture minister of New China.
