At present, the flood control dispatching in the Pearl River Basin has realized digital and information management. In the development and utilization of water resources in the basin, Chaishitan Reservoir in Yunnan, Wangerhe Reservoir in Guizhou and Yushe Reservoir have been built successively. The first-phase projects of "Rundian" and "Ziqian" were started, which solved the drinking water difficulties of most people and animals in poor mountainous areas of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi, and arranged large-scale irrigation area reconstruction and water-saving demonstration projects in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Guangdong and Qiong. In terms of ecological construction of soil and water conservation, the national pilot project of ecological restoration of soil and water conservation, the project of returning farmland to forests and the pilot project of comprehensive management of soil and water conservation in limestone areas of the north and south Panjiang River in the upper reaches of the Pearl River have been implemented. The ecological construction of soil and water conservation began to change from decentralized management to large-scale management, from protective management to open management, from extensive management and development to intensive management and development, and soil erosion in the management area was initially effectively controlled.
