In terms of the number of enterprises, 20 1 1 year, there are 963 industrial enterprises above designated size in Suzhou, accounting for 23.2% of the whole province, 5,065 in Wuxi, accounting for 2.0% of the whole province, and 4,923 in Nantong, accounting for1. There are only more than 2,400 in Nanjing, accounting for only 5.8% of the province. The small number of enterprises and weak overall strength have become a major source of Nanjing's overall industrial weakness.
