Impression of America-Primary Education

The United States, like China, goes to school for one year 12, but it is all compulsory education 12. Unlike us, they only have two years of junior high school, four years of senior high school and five or six years of primary school.

Before elementary school, there were two-year kindergartens in the United States called Pre K, which was roughly equivalent to our preschool. Primary school, junior high school and senior high school are called primary schools. Among them, the first eight years are called primary education-primary education. Four years of high school is called middle school? Education is four years older and has a unique name every year. For example, 1 this year is called freshman year. It means a newcomer, and the second year is called a sophomore. The third and fourth years are called juniors and seniors respectively. Every year has a unique name, which not only reflects American culture, but also publicizes personal characteristics. Not just 1234. It feels like they are a sequence, but given a serious name, they appear to be an independent individual. In fact, many times, this reflects cultural differences, which also leads them to think differently about other things when they grow up.

In fact, this title is very interesting. Your team or your current position has a specific name, which gives you a strong sense of belonging and honor. As we see in the movies, American planes or teams have their own unique nicknames or nicknames, and each state also has its own nicknames. In this way, he has a sense of belonging to a small group, and he also advocates the spirit of independence. Even if he is divided into small teams, he can be independent and have his own ideas, which is why the technology of the United States can be so developed, because people are undoubtedly more conducive to exploration in this spirit.

The educational model in the United States is different from that in China, where a teacher stands in front and there are fifty or sixty children in a room. At the end of one class, the children stopped moving, and a new teacher came to another class. In America, every teacher has his own room, that is to say, teachers can design the classroom style according to their own preferences. For example, if a teacher likes purple, she can decorate the whole classroom with purple. If it is green, it can also be decorated with green, as long as it does not affect teaching, which also reflects the teacher's personality.

Children, on the other hand, have to rush from classroom to classroom during class, just like our domestic college students, rushing from one classroom to another to take different courses. Every child has a tutor, which probably means the head teacher. Besides the courses, there are some extra life arrangements, such as contacting parents or having some emergencies, which are handled by their teachers.

Their desks and chairs are not arranged in a row like ours, but more like round tables. Everyone sits around, the teacher lectures in front, and the children do their own things below, so that they can be divided into a group. It is very convenient for children to discuss and cooperate in groups. In other words, although the United States emphasizes its own personality and independence, it also emphasizes the spirit of cooperation in groups. These things may be used in the future workplace. It is also really useful at work. Basic soft skills, like our children, have learned a lot of scientific and cultural knowledge in school, but we are still lacking in how to communicate in language and express our ideas better.

In addition, when children have their own ideas, they will be encouraged by teachers to make ppt or tabloids. Their tabloids are different from ours. Our tabloids are too delicate. At first glance, they really can't be made by children in grade one or two, and I can't even make them of quality. American children's tabloids are a little crooked like the pictures drawn by children in our kindergarten, but they are really spiritual and creative.

At this point, in fact, I have always had reservations about quality education in China. Quality education in China is often euphemistic, but in fact it is beyond children's endurance. For example, small scientists have recently studied the classification of cancer cells or done some important scientific research, and found that those researchers who have studied for decades may not be able to achieve results. As a child, I doubt that I can achieve such good results without funds and accumulation. In other words, it is not that our quality education is not good, but that our quality education requirements are too high, which is beyond the ability of children. If you still want to achieve it, you can only cheat in comparison.

And quality education is about the quality of children, so what's the point of spelling out the quality of parents? Perhaps the school can produce more works to brag about, but it is not good for the whole society and the development of science and technology. After all, this is not a problem that children can solve by thinking actively. At best, I'll be an assistant or take some photos.

There are about 20 students in a class in the United States, and one teacher takes care of more than 20 children. They are already complaining. Considering that one teacher can take care of 50 or 60 children, there are not many teachers who can make efforts. Some children will always be ignored, either by watching a few naughty children or by paying attention to some good studies and providing all kinds of support. Actually, our class is a little too big. It may also be that our educational resources are insufficient or our population is too large. There's nothing we can do about it, but it's true that just like some products, it takes input to produce. Since we have not invested so much, it is unrealistic to expect some high-tech products or thoughtful scientists.

The American school bus is free. Some people say that American school buses are too awesome. When I actually saw it, I really felt like this. His cars are very strong, and many of them are not buses we see, but Optimus Prime modified by large trucks. At first glance, it looks very strong, and the big pickup truck on the opposite side is generally untouchable. It has stop signs on both sides. When he stops or gets on the bus, the car next to him has to stop and wait. If there is a barrier in the middle of the road, the other side will not affect the traffic. If there is no guardrail, even the opposite vehicle will not pass. In other words, when the school bus stops, it is equivalent to its door opening, and the sign next to it is red when it is opened. All the cars have to go the same way. This is actually a very good protection for children, because don't expect children to drive carefully when crossing the road, and it is easy to have an accident when they really run. Moreover, westerners attach great importance to children. Once this rule is violated, the consequences will be very serious. One of my colleagues was fined 1, 400 dollars, which was about 1, 000 dollars less, because he left his number when driving.

Children's extracurricular life is also very colorful. There are all kinds of clubs, and their clubs really recruit new people by themselves, all of which are run by children on their own initiative, which is still very different from our Young Pioneers Youth League. There may be some comic book clubs, novel clubs or mountain climbing clubs, which can be regarded as children's initial social contact.

Speaking of which, you will find that their homework doesn't look very heavy, it does. At least they don't regard the knowledge in the textbook as very important, but their textbook is really very, very thick, 1000 pages. Xiaowu registered a course called human geography. A book has 1500 pages. After a year's study, you can imagine how thick a book is, and college courses are like this. Therefore, it is not that their courses are simple, but that they no longer focus on repetitive work and can master a principle roughly, so that they can save more self-care resources, learn more new knowledge, expand new fields and explore new science in the future. At least I haven't seen this change in China. It's a great progress to have a look at extra-curricular books and read A Dream of Red Mansions and Journey to the West. Although after reading it, I still have to write my feelings that conform to the teacher's regulations and socialist values, some of them still return to the old road.

In a word, we should admit the advanced points of others. After all, the most advanced scientific productivity is produced by them, which may largely benefit from their higher education, but we have to say that their primary education has indeed laid a good foundation for them in the future. Many aspects are worth learning and learning from.
