Xinye County, Henan Province, is located at the bottom of Nanyang Basin, in the transitional zone between north and south climate, with Tanghe River and Baihe River running through the whole territory. The terrain here is flat, the land is fertile, and the temperature and humidity are suitable. There has been a history of growing vegetables since ancient times. In recent years, due to the great attention of the county party committee and government, Xinye vegetables have made great progress and become the leading industry of Xinye rural economy.
The county has an area of 890,000 mu of cultivated land and more than 500,000 mu of vegetables. The annual output of all kinds of vegetables is 3.6 billion kilograms, accounting for more than 40% of the county's total agricultural output value. It is a famous vegetable production county in the neighboring province of southwest Henan.
Among them, the production area of sunlight greenhouse, light cement skeleton greenhouse and small and medium-sized arch shed accounts for more than 50% of the total area. Vegetable varieties have complete roots, stems, leaves, fruits and flowers, and fresh vegetables are constantly available all year round, forming the top ten with early spring green beans, off-season cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, early spring potatoes, bijiu Gan Lan, cauliflower, zucchini and celery.
