Chengdu Branch of China Academy of Sciences was established in March 1978, formerly known as Sichuan Branch of China Academy of Sciences, and was established in October 1958 165438/kloc-0. During this period, it went through the stages of the Southwest Branch and the decentralized management of Sichuan Province, and was rebuilt and renamed in June of 1978. It is also a large-scale and powerful comprehensive scientific research base, advanced talent training base and high-tech industrialization base in Southwest China. In addition to its branches, Chengdu Sub-system has seven affiliated units: Institute of Optoelectronics, Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chengdu Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chengdu Organic Chemistry Co., Ltd., Chengdu Information Technology Co., Ltd., Chengdu Zhongke Weishi Instrument Co., Ltd. and Chengdu Document Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
