Where does the tropical rain forest of Manhao Green Water River belong?

Out of the old city, through a cold expressway tunnel, to the cold pier on the edge of the Red River, enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Red River all the way, and then drive more than 50 kilometers south to the charming tropical rain forest with green waters and green mountains.

Manhao Lvshuihe Tropical Rainforest is located in the area of Lvshuihe Power Plant in Manhao Town at the southernmost tip of Gejiu City, and is connected to the national first-class port-Hekou in the south. 90 kilometers north of Gejiu; The northeast is connected with Mengzi County; Pingbian County is adjacent to the southeast; The west is bounded by the Red River and faces Jinping County across the river, which has a unique location of "one forest connecting four counties and one city".

Red river valley has a typical subtropical climate, extremely complicated geological landforms and soil types, and has built a rich geographical and biological environment, which has bred a tropical rain forest with the characteristics of the Red River. The tropical rain forest is located at 103 degrees 22 minutes east longitude, 23 degrees north latitude and 145.35-478.5 meters above sea level. It is an extension of Dawei Mountain Nature Reserve, covering an area of about 4 square kilometers. Tropical rain forest is mainly concentrated in the middle and upper reaches of Lvshui River in Manhao Town, and it is a tropical mountain forest vegetation composed of tropical humid rain forest, seasonal rain forest, mountain rain forest and monsoon evergreen broad-leaved forest. The form of tropical rain forest is canyon forest, and most rare plants grow on steep cliffs. Forest vegetation has obvious vertical distribution characteristics, and green rivers flow at the bottom of the valley all year round. There are many kinds of rare plants in the scenic spot, including 255 species of woody plants belonging to 95 families, and more than 20 species of tropical forest vegetation under national key protection, such as camellia chrysantha, rosewood, Cycas, Taxodium yunnanense and Alsophila spinulosa. There are 134 species of vertebrates living in 49 families. Among them, Cycas multifida is a rare ancient and rare plant in the world, which is praised as a "living fossil" in the dinosaur era by academic circles, and its discovery once caused a sensation in the biological world. Cycas appeared in the flourishing period from Paleozoic about 280 million years ago to Mesozoic Jurassic about 65.438+0.8 billion years ago. Plants are distributed all over the world, ruling the earth side by side with dinosaurs. After the Cenozoic and Quaternary glacial periods, the dominant dinosaurs became extinct, accompanied by the death of most of the cycads that dominated the biological world, and a few remaining cycads were called "living fossils" and "giant pandas" in the plant world.

Cycas is of great significance and textual research value for studying the history of plant development. It is generally believed that seed plants evolved from ferns, and Cycas belongs to the transitional type between ferns and seed plants. The birth and development of cycads are closely related to the long evolution of paleogeographic environment, and the great changes of earth history are always accompanied by the great changes of cycads. The origin of Cycas is of great significance for studying the origin and evolution of seed plants, the flora of seed plants and the changes of paleoclimate. Therefore, the wild Cycas has been listed in the appendix of the World Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, and has become a rare and endangered plant under special protection in the world. Biologists have found that the most endangered cycads of the Red River grow in the limestone mountains in the local dry-hot valley area on the north bank of the Red River, and most of these rare plants are concentrated in the tropical rain forest of the Manglushui River. Because of its simple tree shape, evergreen seasons, hard trunk like iron, needle-pointed and smooth leaves, the Red River Cycas has high economic value and ornamental value, so there have been many cases of illegal poaching, illegal acquisition and illegal trafficking. However, because Cycas Honghe can only thrive in specific soil, specific climatic conditions and specific natural environment, once it leaves the native zone, no matter where it is transplanted, the survival rate is almost zero. Therefore, the Botanical Society of China Cycas Branch has come to the conclusion that "Cycas Honghe can only survive in the original area" in the national survey results. During the period of 1996, the "China Cycas Protection Action Group" was established at the 4th International Cycas Biology Society held in China, and the first action plan was to save Cycas Honghe. It can be said that Cycas Honghe is the oldest and longest-lived tree species found in China so far, because Cycas Honghe is a derivative tree of 280 million years. In addition, some rare wild Cycas such as Cycas fargesii, Cycas Forciforme and Cycas broadleaf have been found in the tropical rain forest, which proves the diversity and antiquity of tropical rain forest plants. It is the place with the largest species of Cycas and rare plants and the most concentrated biological population in the world, and it is the genetic treasure house of natural plants and biodiversity.

There are thousands of species in tropical rain forests, which are lush; Colorful butterflies fly in groups, singing birds and flowers; Ancient trees are towering and vines are winding; Strange flowers and trees, all over Shan Ye; Mountains and valleys, flowing springs and waterfalls. There are mountains and streams in the forest, the mountain wind is chanting, the green water is singing ancient sad songs, the green hills are full of charming creatures, and you are immersed in the scenery. All kinds of strange natural landscapes in the forest make you intoxicated in the wonderful embrace of nature, which makes people linger.

Lovers Waterfall. The green river in the rainforest pours down from the steep cliff, forming two bright waterfalls, just like a pair of reluctant lovers. The two waterfalls meet along the wall to form a clear deep pool. Really, everything will be fine. All shall be well, jack shall have Jill.

The old tree supports the stone. On the bank of the lower reaches of the Lushui River, there stands a strange evergreen tree with a trunk bust of about 1 m and lush leaves. Its twisted roots tightly embrace a huge oval stone and insert it into the soil, looking like an old tree that hatches stones.

A tree makes a forest. This is a banyan tree growing from the cracks, with small and curved roots. However, there are more than 65,438+00 banyan trees growing from their mothers, and their branches are thick, strong and straight, which naturally reminds people of their mother's greatness.

Underground power plant. There is an underground power plant outside the tropical rain forest, which was built in the 1950s. Its construction recorded the restless years of "preparing for war, preparing for famine and preparing for war". This is a multi-level underground power station with extremely complicated design, high water head, deep underground and many levels. The completed workshop is hidden in the deep mountains, which brings people many fascinating thoughts. Nowadays, visiting power plants has become a tourist project, and the mystery of underground power plants is waiting for you to uncover.

Tropical orchard. Rattan-consuming areas are suitable for the growth of all kinds of fruits. The tropical orchards in the tropical rain forest are the harvest fruits watered by the workers of Lvshuihe Power Plant in the pioneering work of building the frontier and beautifying their homes. In the season when fruits are ripe, visitors can freely taste their favorite bananas, mangoes, pineapples, papayas, sugar cane and other fruits in the orchard.

Folk culture. More than ten ethnic minorities, such as Yi, Dai, Yao, Zhuang, Miao and Hani, live in Manhao area. Every nation has its own unique culture, folk customs and customs, and can sing and dance well. A grand banana festival is held every May. During the festival, professional banana growers from ethnic minorities outside Li Jianghe come to pay tribute and choose the banana king. Banana eating competition is an indispensable part of the festival. The Mango Festival held in July is different from the Banana Festival. Every mango festival, beautiful girls from all ethnic groups living on the red river come to participate in the election of "Miss Mango". In addition to obtaining certificates and bonuses, those who run for "Miss Mango" will also be hung with a string of mango chains symbolizing auspiciousness, beauty and happiness. In these two festivals, local ethnic minorities should celebrate their festivals in the most carnival form and show their national culture to the fullest.

Science park. This is a popular science park with botanical garden, photo exhibition of rare animals and plants, historical introduction of Manhao ancient wharf, insect specimens in tropical rain forest, plant specimens and power plant models as its main contents. At present, Manglushui River Rainforest has become a comprehensive popular science education base for teenagers in Honghe Prefecture, which integrates popular science, tourism, teaching, exploration and training.
