At the initiative of the Continuing Education Group of the Preparatory Committee of China Psychological Counselors Association and with the support of experts from the National Psychological Counselor Expert Group of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Institute of Psychology of Chinese Academy of Sciences took the lead in organizing and formulating the Curriculum Standards and Evaluation Technical Specifications for Psychological Counselors, which served as a transitional arrangement to popularize psychological knowledge and cultivate entry-level talents in psychological services through non-academic education at the end of 20 17.
The purpose of the examination is to give consideration to two target groups: first, psychology enthusiasts in the public want to learn and apply psychological knowledge to improve their quality of work and life, and this project is a universal education for them; Second, quasi-professional groups are interested in the professional growth in the field of psychological counseling, which is a kind of professional introduction or enlightenment education for them.
