Nanjing Engineering Vocational College was founded in 1956, and was placed under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Geology and Mineral Resources in 2002.
The following year, it was upgraded from an ordinary secondary vocational school to a full-time higher vocational school.
