Ulmus pumila is usually made into bonsai because of its small size and high ornamental value. The elm with big leaves is tall and shady. Usually used in urban greening, street trees, courtyard shade trees, factory greening and shelter forest construction.
Ulmus pumila likes light and is cold-resistant, so it should be placed in an environment with good light and good air circulation. In summer, bonsai can be placed on wooden boards and foam boards to reduce the burn of roots caused by ground heat conduction.
