The route starts from Beixia Village, Yunshishan Town, Ruijin City, and connects with Ailing (Fujian-Jiangxi provincial boundary) of Xiamen-Chengdu Line to expressway in Ruijin section. The terminal is located in Xietang Village, Panlong Town, Golden Development Zone, Ganzhou City, and connects with expressway in the west section of Ganzhou City on Xiamen-Chengdu Line. The total length of the route is 1 17. 12km, passing through Ganzhou city.

Ruigan Expressway belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate, with high temperature and rainy summer and mild and little rain in winter. The annual average temperature is 19.4℃, and the annual precipitation is1506 mm. The landform types are mainly hills and low mountains, and the overall topography is low in the east and high in the west. There are many exposed strata in the area, from Holocene in Quaternary to Sinian in Proterozoic, only some strata such as Tertiary and Ordovician are missing, and the stratigraphic structure is complex, mostly in a nearly north-south belt shape. Soil-forming parent materials are mainly acidic crystalline rocks, argillaceous rocks, Sijihong clay and modern river and lake alluvium. The main soil types are red soil and paddy soil. The zonal vegetation is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, and the present vegetation is mainly secondary communities and artificial vegetation in different succession stages. The project area belongs to the red soil hilly region in the south, and the soil erosion type is mainly hydraulic erosion, and the allowable soil loss is 500t/km2.a. According to the Announcement of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government on Dividing Key Soil Erosion Prevention Areas, Ruijin City involved in the project belongs to key soil erosion prevention areas in Jiangxi Province, and Huichang County, Yudu County, Ganxian County and zhanggong district City all belong to key soil erosion prevention areas and key supervision areas in Jiangxi Province.
During the construction of expressway in Ruigan, the construction activities, such as subgrade excavation, subgrade filling, borrowing and abandoning soil, building management service facilities and temporary construction facilities, will disturb the original landform, destroy land and vegetation, and inevitably lead to certain soil erosion. According to the laws and regulations of soil and water conservation in China, development and construction projects must bear the responsibility and obligation to prevent soil erosion during construction and production, and monitor at the same time; When the construction project is completed and accepted, the water and soil conservation facilities shall be accepted at the same time.
