According to legend, a long time ago, at the foot of the mountain, there was an honest, kind, hardworking and filial man who was very poor. He eats every meal at home. However, he is honest and does good things every day, and bad things don't matter.
One night, a white-haired old man pointed to him in his sleep and said, "You are too kind, but you are too poor." As he spoke, he pointed to a rock wall in jincheng mountain and said to the man, "Take down that stone key and insert it into a crack in the rock wall. As long as the stone gate is opened, it will never be eaten. " .
The next morning, the man woke up and recalled the night dream of the previous day, so he climbed the rock wall of jincheng mountain with a grain of salt. Indeed, when the man saw that there was indeed a key made of stone, he took it down and inserted it into the gap according to the suggestion of the white-haired old man. When the crack was removed, a door was opened.
The man came in slowly, and there were several people sifting the golden millet in the door. The man stood there watching and was silent for a long time. One of the millet sifters said, "What are you looking at? Come and get two handfuls of millet! " As he spoke, he gave the man two handfuls of millet, and the man really obeyed and walked out of the stone gate with two handfuls of millet. Then I heard a loud noise and the stone gate closed.
Suddenly, the man remembered that he had put the key in it when he was holding the millet and forgot to take it out. I am regretting it, but the millet in my hand has turned into gold, shining and dazzling. He went home ecstatic and lived a rich life from then on.
The news spread all over the community, and everyone went to look for the stone key. However, the stone key is locked in the stone gate, which will never be closed. Therefore, according to folklore, this mountain is a golden mountain, so it is called "jincheng mountain". "jincheng mountain" was built in the Tang Dynasty, and the origin of temple architecture was studied. According to textual research, it was He Tao, the military commander of the Tang Dynasty stationed in Nanchong during the Anshi Rebellion. Because of Yang Qilu's mutiny, he retreated to "jincheng mountain", built fortifications, built camps and beat drums. He Tao thinks that this mountain and this village are easy to defend but difficult to attack and unbreakable, so he takes the meaning of "Jincheng" in the sentence of "Building Jincheng Wanlong" in Ban Gu's "Xidu Fu" and changes the word "city" of "jincheng mountain" to the word "city".
