Yangpu District Library was established in 1956. There are seven service windows, including comprehensive reading room, newspaper reading room, reference room, study room, electronic reading room, adult lending room and children's room, which provide readers with a spacious and comfortable learning environment. In 2008, the Yangpu Pavilion of Shanghai Modern Literature Museum, which was founded in cooperation with Shanghai Library, was officially opened. Yangpu District Library Children's Library 1996 is open to the public. There are multimedia electronic reading rooms, teachers' and parents' borrowing rooms and computer navigation systems on the first floor. On the second floor, there are middle school students' borrowing rooms, primary school students' borrowing rooms and parent-child borrowing rooms (books and toys for children). There are lecture halls and conference rooms on the third floor.
