Sal Polmat's Education

Saul perlmutter was born in an intellectual family: his father was Daniel D. Perlmutter, honorary professor of chemistry and biomolecular engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, and his mother was Ferris D. Perlmutter, honorary professor of School of Social Management at Temple University (her maiden name was Davidson) [2][3]. His grandfather Samuel Davidson (1903- 1989) was a Yiddish teacher. He moved to Canada from From Rushti, a small town in Bissalabia (now Moldova), in 19 19, and then moved to new york with his wife, Chaika Newman.

Perlmutter 198 1 graduated from Harvard University and won the excellent postgraduate award. 1986 received his doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley. The topic of Perlmutter's doctoral thesis is to find the candidate sun companion under the guidance of Richard A. Muller.
